Abstract Landscapes

This series of 10 landscape paintings was done over a duration of a year; each painting is started and completed in a single sitting. These painting are done on wooden panels with aluminum dust that is mixed into oil paint on veneer. Although these paintings strongly suggest landscapes, there is an intentional abstraction to the work. This abstraction is meant to allow the viewer’s mind to wander, contemplating what exactly the image represents. This is a continuing series that began in 2008.

Panels are oil paint on veneered wood, approximate size 8x11”x1.5”
